Biography

During my undergraduate studies I spent one semester at Universidad Autónoma de Queretaro in Mexico and one at Universidad de la Habana in Cuba, solidifying my interest in continued intercultural learning and working with international populations. I have held progressively responsible roles in international enrollment management at four universities over the last dozen years, traveling widely and assisting international students with their applications at all levels of study, from ESL to Ph.D. I currently work as the Director of International Admission at Loyola University Maryland where I manage international recruitment, credential evaluation, and admission at the undergraduate level. I frequently volunteer with NAFSA: Association of International Educators in regional leadership roles and committees, as a chapter author, conference presenter, mentor, and proposal reviewer. Currently, I also serve as the President of the Maryland International Education Consortium. I live in Baltimore with my husband, who is also working full time while pursuing a terminal degree.
