I have been working with students from the United States and around the world in outreach, counseling, admission, advising, and teaching for nearly 18 years In addition to being a student I am Director of International Admission at California Lutheran University where I am responsible for all international undergraduate and graduate student enrollment. Before this position I was Dean of Admission at a small liberal arts school in the Midwest. I've lived, worked, and studied abroad in three countries, has traveled to dozens of others, and am passionate about educating leaders for a global society.
I'm a member of a few international education organizations including NAFSA, the Council of International Schools, International ACAC (the global affiliate of the National Association for College Admission Counseling). I've been most active in the International ACAC community and was honored in 2019 with the annual Distinguished Service Award for my work in supporting international LGBTQ students, mentoring new professionals, and advocating for more inclusive and equitable practices in international education.
