Abstract

This dissertation explores the impact of advanced technologies on training and development in Human Resource Development (HRD), focusing on the role of generative AI. It examines how trainees' attitudes toward generative AI, perceived autonomy support, and knowledge of AI influence their motivation to engage with AI tools, motivation to transfer learning, and overall learning outcomes. Utilizing quantitative methodologies, the research identifies key predictors for successful AI integration in training programs. Findings emphasize the significance of perceived ease of use, usefulness, and foundational AI knowledge in fostering positive trainee attitudes and motivations. These insights contribute to developing effective AI-driven training strategies and enhancing HRD practices.
