I am a passionate scholar and educator with a background in both communication and higher education.
In addition to being a doctoral student in Higher Education, I am a Graduate Research Assistant focusing on how conservative media frames the return on investment of a college education. My personal research interests revolve around crisis communication in higher education. Specifically, I am interested in analyzing discourse surrounding institutional responses to campus crises that gain public attention.
My previous experience lies in professional communication, composition, and rhetoric. I served as a Teaching Specialist for the Writing Studies Department at the University of Minnesota where I taught WRIT1301. Before coming to Minnesota, I completed my M.A. at Iowa State and worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for English 150/250.
