I am interested in the research of first-generation college students and students from underrepresented backgrounds. I am particularly interested in exploring how families from these backgrounds engage and support their students through their college journey. As a first-generation low-income student, I am dedicated to the access and success of those from underrepresented communities.

Alongside my doctoral studies, I am currently the College Readiness Coordinator at the University of Minnesota's College Readiness Consortium. Within this position, I coordinate middle school campus visits and support college and career readiness initiatives on and off campus. Prior to this position, I was an academic advisor for the TRIO Student Support Services program and a high school counselor. Additionally, I have taught EDHD 1701, CLA 1005, and CLA 2005 on campus.
