My research centers on understanding how educational policies create inclusive learning environments for marginalized student populations in sub-Saharan Africa. I am specifically interested in the implementation of readmission policies in sub-Saharan Africa and how they impact the schooling experiences of adolescent mothers. I investigate how educators' awareness and understanding of readmission policy influences their ability to provide meaningful support to adolescent mothers in school, ensuring their successful reintegration and continued educational success. Ultimately, I hope my research will inform policy implementation practices and guidelines that equip educators as policy duty-bearers with the tools to support adolescent mothers and other marginalized students in schools.
