Biography

My journey in international education started in Atlin, British Columbia with the Tlingit First Nation and Round River Conservation Studies in 2011. I then studied abroad in Lima, Peru in 2012 and on the island of Cuba in 2014. Today, my full-time professional role is as the Director of International Admission for the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL. This role affords me the opportunity to travel through the United States and the Western Hemisphere recruiting the next generations of students to the University of Miami. I am actively engaged in higher education associations like International ACAC and NACAC where I recently served on the ad hoc committee to identify DEI hiring best practices in college admissions counseling professional settings. I also founded and co-facilitated the Reading for Education and Access Leadership series supported by the Minnesota Private College Council from 2020-2024. Academically, I'm interested in how professional staff experience belonging, higher education policy, and (un)seen borders in international education settings.
