Melissa Malen

Dr. Malen earned a doctorate in OLPD from the University of Minnesota and teaches classes about leadership, sales training, technology and human resource development, and writing for first year and first-generation college students.  Dr. Malen has a depth of experience coaching executives and students in performance and talent development, and specializes in working with neurodiverse clients to support them in developing executive function skills and performance behaviors that result in higher levels of achievement. Many of the executives and students she had coached have struggled with mental health challenges such as ADHD, anxiety, depression and/or autism spectrum disorder. Dr. Malen is a first-generation college graduate, and is dedicated to providing equitable and inclusive teaching to support student learning in the areas of culturally, socially and emotionally responsive teaching.
