Upadhyay, co-authors, have their work selected as "Best Paper" at ESERA conference
Bhaskar Upadhyay, professor in the Department of Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development's (OLPD) Comparative and International Development Education (CIDE) program, along with graduate students Cuc Vu and Stephanie Erickson, in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction (C&I), had their work, “Gaijatra”: Leveraging Cultural Heritage of Emotions in STEAM Teacher Professional Development in Nepal, selected as the "Best Paper" at the European Science Education Research Association (ESERA) conference in Strand 12 (Strand 12 – Equity, Diversity and Identity in Science Education).
The ESERA conference took place August 28 - September 1, 2023, in Cappadocia, Turkey.
In addition, the paper (with some further feedback and revisions) will be published as a book chapter along with other selected "Best Papers". This is an outcome of internship work in Nepal supported by the JRM Foundation and CEHD International Initiatives.
