AHIEC-led team including OLPD faculty receives grant to partner with tribal colleges to transform STEM education for Indigenous students
Elizabeth Sumida-Huaman and Bhaskar Upadhyay, both Professors in the Comparative and International Development Education program at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities' Department of Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development, are part of a team of researchers co-led by the American Indian Higher Education Consortium recently awarded a $75,000 Spencer Foundation Vision grant. The team will use the funds to launch the research planning stages of a large-scale project that aims to transform STEM graduate education training with Tribal College and University (TCU) faculty.
Sumida-Huaman is the Principal Investigator of the project, and Upadhyay is a Co-Principal-Investigator.
